It’s always nice to review some of the latest products to hit the streets here in the UK but, it’s even better when one of them appears to have been designed specifically for you!
Finally, an MTL Sub-Ohm tank after what seems to have been a plethora of direct Lung versions producing hits more reminiscent of the classic cigarette. This is thanks not only to an airflow system that produces a very tight draw, but a 1.8ohm BVC coil that allows the user to vape at a greatly reduced wattage and thereby increase their nicotine intake in the process.
Coupled with this, the Vapefly Nicolas flavour tank as the name clearly suggests will help to satisfy the taste buds with an increase in flavour, and make life just that little bit easier with a top filling E-Liquid system as well.
So, lets dive in and take a closer look at what you can expect for your hard-earned money and to see if the performance lives up to the hype.

Tools Of The Trade & Safety Information
People can suffer from allergies to chemicals that may be present in the makeup of certain types of E-liquids or produced in their vapour. People can become sensitive to, or even allergic to Nickel or Titanium used in Temperature Controlled designed coils. Seek professional medical advice before using any of the products used in my reviews.
In this review, I have used yet another selection of E-Liquids from the Mighty Vapors trê collection.
Nicolas MTL Flavour Tank Operation
Unscrew the top cap by turning the knurled ring in a counterclockwise direction which is situated just below the drip tip and fill the 3ml tank with your chosen E-Liquid.
Make sure you fill it through either of the two slots positioned to the sides of the tank taking care not to accidentally pour any into the central airflow.
Replace the top cap and secure it allowing the E-Liquid to soak into the Japanese organic cotton for a few minutes prior to use.
Attach the Nicolas tank to your chosen device that supports low resistance values and set it to the desired wattage recommend by the manufacturer for the type of coil you have inserted.
Use the airflow control ring to set the desired draw type based on your wattage settings whether it be more open for cloud production (0.6Ω coil recommended) or, a tighter draw (1.8Ω coil recommended) to replicate the sensation of a cigarette.
Replacement of the coil head is achieved by unscrewing the base and lifting out the inserted coil and replacing it with a new one.
As you might have expected, the Nicolas tank was extremely good when it came to reproducing the individual flavour notes compared with many of other top brands competing in this market and produced a solid throat hit which is equally important given that it has been designed with the smoker in mind.
Identifying some of the subtler flavours in a multi layered E-liquid was possible which is normally only achieved with a high-quality RDA. Not quite in the same league, but none the less impressive.
The drip tip is short which helps to improve the flavour reproduction by keeping the distance between the coil head and the mouth piece as short as possible.
If you are a heavy vaper using the 0.6ohm coil at a higher temperature setting, be aware that the metal top cap which is situated directly beneath the drip tip will heat up and you could find that your warmer vape is just that little bit too warm!
Including a top filling system is a much cleaner and quicker way to refill the 3ml tank so another plus in its design, as far as I’m concerned.
The airflow offers the user five individual choices to select the type of draw they prefer and it is finally possible to achieve one that was tight enough to create the sensation of an analogue cigarette. It is also very smooth to open and close.
For the smoker who has just made the transition from smoking to vaping or, the vaper who would like to have the option between cloud chasing and their draw restricted also, then I can highly recommend the Nicolas Tank.
Overall construction gets a thumbs up as well. Given that this is a mass produced tank all parts appear to be well machined on the samples sent directly to me from Heaven Gifts.
Classy in appearance and hot on both performance and flavour, this combination should suit the flavour chaser who enjoys a tighter draw rather than the cloud enthusiast.
A few points worth noting here and there are only a few in my opinion are firstly, that there isn’t a 2ml TPD compliant version currently available at the time of writing.
Secondly, removing the coil can be a little frustrating. So, by Increasing the purchase area at the base would most definitely help here, so I hope this can be considered on future releases.
And The Down Right Ugly
Nothing to report in this section, it’s a fine example of a tank specifically designed with a restrictive draw for the Mouth To Lung vapers to enjoy.
