Steam Crave GLAZ RTA Introduction
Renowned for building some of the worlds finest and unique innovative designs RDTA’S and RDA’s, Steam Crave have introduced another eye-catching model for the vaping enthusiast.
Their latest innovation, the GLAZ RTA has been designed by building on past experience and it appears at first glance to be yet another desirable RTA with a diameter of 31mm, new post less deck and much more besides!
To satisfy both the cloud chaser and flavour taster, Steam Crave have increased the capacity to hold up to 7ml of e-liquid “making sure you don’t run dry too soon”, whilst at the same time maintaining excellent flavour thanks to the well thought out positioning of the angled airflow delivering maximum throughput straight to the coil head.
Coupled with a glass chamber for easy viewing and a sensible sliding top cap refill system, the GLAZ RTA has a lot on offer and at a very respectable price too.
So, let’s not waste any more time on the introduction and see what you can expect for your money!

People can suffer from allergies to chemicals that may be present in the makeup of certain types of E-liquids or produced in their vapour.
People can become sensitive to, or even allergic to Nickel or Titanium used in Temperature Controlled designed coils. Seek professional medical advice before using any of the products used in my reviews.

Building the RTA section
3mm diameter Coils are recommend
One of the most important factors with an RTA, RDA, or RDTA to get the best possible performance is getting the build just right.
This will change depending on the make and model, but I hope to get you into the ballpark quickly, allowing you to make only finite adjustments for the perfect set up.
Before we begin, it’s important to note that you can access the deck without taking the tank apart as I will describe in a moment, by simply unscrewing the base.
To access the post less deck unscrew the top directly above the glass section. You will notice that the glass is threaded at both ends, so the next step requires you to unthread the glass section as well, allowing access to the glass chimney which is secured in place by a single an O-ring.
Lift the chimney off and then unscrew the outer wall and finally, you reach the decking itself.
The deck is split into two halves, positive and negative. You can identify the positive side easily as it has insulation around it and underneath it. The opposite side is the negative which is clearly highlighted in blue in the picture above.
The deck allows for a two coil set-up (positive to negative in both cases) directly across it and you will notice the large angled airflow for each coil, situated at each end of the decking positioned to sit below each one of the coils.
Consult your included user manual if you are unsure about any aspects of building with the GLAZ RTA
Loosen the screws with the supplied Allen key and attach your coils shortening the legs to the correct length for a clean fit inside the space provided.
Take your time and reduce the height slowly if necessary so as not to destroy a perfectly good coil, simply because you cut too much off to start with!
Use a tool to straighten each coil and tighten up each of the four screws, in turn, to secure them firmly in place when you are happy with the position. Check that neither coil is touching any part of the decks base or outer wall.
Use your Ohm’s metre before adding in any cotton just in case you have made contact causing a short.
Now is a good time to test fire your device looking out for any signs of hot spots that may require adjusting with ceramic tweezers on the coils themselves.
Pulse them and look for an even glow across each surface area and adjust if necessary. If all the checks are satisfactory, it’s time to insert the cotton.
Use a diameter that fits comfortably through the coil, neither too tight or too loose.
You will notice on each side of the decking there are two juice channels. The length of your cotton should be long enough to fit just inside the outer lip. Comb and trim your cotton accordingly to fit on each side. This will help with wicking the e-liquid, so don’t pack it in too tightly!
Prime the cotton and coils, reassemble the RTA remembering to fill the tank via the sliding top cap and in theory, you should be ready to go and don’t forget to open the airflow control ring!
It is advisable to use a device (preferably regulated) that supports Sub Ohm Vaping with this RTA.
Without a doubt, another top-notch performer from Steam Crave, the Glaz RTA is a well designed and thought out RTA that should bring a great deal of satisfaction into the lives of many experienced Sub Ohm vapers.
It produces phenomenal flavour and is aimed first and foremost at the flavour chasers rather than the cloud enthusiast. That being said, it’s no slouch when it comes to producing dense clouds either!
Overall construction and threading are on par with the very best RTA’s currently on the market at the time of writing, so it should defiantly be on your agenda if you happen to be in the market for 31mm RTA that hold up to 7ml of juice.
Building on the post less deck is just about as simple and straightforward as you can get, but you will need to cut your cotton to the correct length to avoid experiencing dry hits.
A few points worth mentioning are a novel sliding top cap which works very well, restricted airflow making for a smooth vaping experience, and finally, a glass chamber which allows you to see your wicks and coils.
Steam Crave have also increased the choice of colours from two to five so there’s at least one option that should suit your personal tastes.
The only thing I would personally change is the bore size of the two juice inlets on either side which would more than probably allow for an increase in power output. That being said, after three weeks of use I’ve experienced no leaking at all, immense flavour production and plenty of enquires from avid vapers thanks to its cloud production and stylish appearance.
Expect price tag to be around the £36 US$45 mark. Worth every cent!
